banana oat shake

i found this recipe in one of my "everyday food" magazines recently and i LOVE it. i've been drinking it every morning for breakfast and it fills me up till lunchtime. sometimes i add or substitute berries, but i my favorite is just plain banana. oh, i haven't tried it with strawberries but i bet that would be a delight.

1/2 c. plain vanilla yogurt
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. oats
1 banana, cut in fourths
2 t. honey
2 t. ground flax seed (i add this for my omega-3)

what kind of oats did you use? regular or the quick cook kind?

i accidentally bought quick, so i've been using those to use them all up. but i bet you could use regular and just blend it really well. it's my new favorite breakfast!

wow. i had this banana shake for breakfast today. no joke most delicious brekkie shake i've ever had.

my only request: you give it an awesome name like . . . caroline's bake shop bananarama (cut me some slack it was off the cuff) . . . or something better than that.

Just made this shake- my first bake shop recipe usage! I know it's not really a baked good (and there are tons on here that I will eventually make), but it's a start! Next time I'm gonna try it with some chocolate protein powder- and maybe a tiny bit of peanut butter. Thanks for the great blog Caroline!

And share it with Jenny's readers ASAP. Let me know if that's cool? I couldn't find your email address here's mine: megan [at] radmegan (dot) com. YAY! Ok?
